I figured I couldn't have been the only one.. I think it's more from the fact that the price levels have changed, since now the 50% sale comes up to $10, which was the full price when I bought the game, but since I too bought it on sale(i.e payed $5), thus itch.io will not accept it as enough for the highest tier i.e newest version. Though it was when I bought it. And I keep getting Email updates every for every new version. And while I do not mind supporting the devs, like I feel I have by purchasing the DLC's. Still, I do not feel it to be fair if back then the tier I paid was the highest, but after a price adjustment I would need to pay for it again.. especially since other platforms, after paying, would just count as User owns game [×] -Keep updated in library. -But I do not think the devs are automatically at fault, I'm thinking it's the result of how itch.io handles the price levels of what you've payed. But if the devs will not help resolve this matter.. and if I were to just pay for the game again.. first of all I don't think it would work by just adding $5 to the $5 I already payed; <Please correct me if I'm wrong> And were I to pay the $10 now, if the price raises for just a dollar, the $5+$10 both during 50% sale, (if spent together, itch.io'd count it as $30 spent.. but separate, again would amount to highest single transaction, so enough for the $1 dollar tier.. -That's about as clear as I can articulate the matter.. Now it's up to the devs and perhaps itch.io support how they weigh the spirit of the deal, reliability and trust of the user/gamer/wanker/customer.

The issue with this update is Rubber Bliss mission is still BROKEN and I cant see her even though I already skip for entire week and she wont show at the usual place. This was not an issue on older versions and it works 100% all time, did you test the game entirely or partially???
Looks like I need to finish the Wolf hunt which it turns out that it will locked the missions until the Arms Trader get cured and side quests will be avaiable again. Oh god, this is really pain in ass if you progress the main story too fast.

having issues crafting executioners axe. says it can be crafted, have components and required gold but craft button is red and wont do anything. am i just not understanding this new system or what? ive even tried holdin craft button like skill upgrades but nope.
Yeah, the Devs are literally being jerk to us right now, so many things messed up on this update from missing Arms Trader on Rubber Bliss mission, crafting cant be done regardless of having sets of ingredients to lots of BROKEN mechanics on Goblin and Arachne dodges where they mostly dodge the attack despite it said 15 and 20 percent yet they can dodge 2-3 from 6 attacks which is BS for me.
I HATE this update entirely and I dont want to waste my time at all. Just play 0.65 and it was much better than 0.80
Well, I played this game since their 1st release and every updates they did which I know in and out of this game. I already send many feedbacks to the Devs about the state of game itself and they did balanced the game over time.
However, this update is broken mess compared to previous updates where there are only minor issues and I can deal with them. As for skill issue, I played hundred of games like this and I can tell you that this is rushed and badly made for v0.8 while on v0.65, it was fun and enjoyable.
I think you tried to judge me from how I comment but you are so bad on decision to make, just play this game from beginning once again to see if you can handle it instead of playing on NG+ like a NOOB. Remember, I always play this game from FRESH NG on each updates, not NG+ like others to see the changes completely instead of just skipping the game to latest one.

When I made the sale purchase last year, and an upgrade became available, I asked the developer about this same situation. I was told there would be a short wait, and just as stated, I was able to download the update without additional pricing.
That's the thing, that's what you get for the 1 dollar tier you have to wait for a short while before the update is available to you. The people who are complaining are people who paid the old 10 dollar price (or 5 dollars during a discount) to get the immediate access. But then the price was increased and everyone who bought the old full version got kicked down to the limited version.
Yeah, also I did openly say it hoping there was a solution of "oh shoot, sorry. Here is the link since you got it early". Like I be fine like sharing I just got it, plus it being a 5 dollar thing. Maybe it is too much, and hell I will get it in a week or 2 I believe based on what I saw.

I got it long ago, and during the sale for $5.00, and when I had this same update issue, the developer responded to me with the wait news. I believe the developer said is an itch issue. I have since received two updates. If the free update model for those buying at the sale price has been removed, it is news to me, and definitely a bad thing going forward, but he/she seemed nice about it and even said there would be a steam key for the $5.00 purchasers. I am sure he or she will examine the posts and let us know something shortly. The developer appears to be fair. Afterall, it was the sale purchases which likely provided the revenue to continue the project. I paid $1.00 so long ago, my original save files couldn't be upgraded. People like me are the reasons you can advance the story.

Also it's probably not something on their end that went wrong, probably more to do with Itch.io's way of storing what was paid for products. So the devs probably (justifiably so) increased the price and then Itch just goes "We don't store what product you purchased just how much you paid on what projects. So since you paid 5 bucks during a 50% off you get access to everything up to 10 dollars, regardless of how the products price develops."

I am playing 0.80 right now and for some reason, everytime I try to buy an upgraded piece of equipment at the market stall my game crashes? Anything I can do to fix that?

You need to finish all the quests including getting a new house and take the elf with you
Going through the gate is the main story quest. You need to complete all of the tavern master's quests to get his signature.
