Knightly Passions 0.35! RELEASE!

Dear friends,

Today, we are releasing a new version of Knightly Passions, Version 0.35. This version has proven to be rather complicated, hefty, and eclectic.

Here’s the full list of all the new features:

  • The continuation of the main quest! The hunter draws a few steps closer to reuniting with his sister.
  • New quest: Quest 30, “The Prisoner of Darkness.” Please note that this quest is automatically issued in the tavern one day after the completion of all of the quests of the tavern keeper, blonde nun, and elf.
  • New quest: Quest 31, “Home Sweet Home.” At long last, the hunter will have his own home.
  • Improved adult scene with the brunette nun in the bell tower (Live2D).
  • New combat system: Version 4.0. We have completely rewritten the code of the combat system. Enemies have become stronger, faster, and more interesting. Some of them have been given new abilities. In the following updates, we will implement a variety of new combat ability cards.
  • New location: “Home.”
  • New location: “Blacksmith’s House.”
  • After completing Quest 31, the elf will move in to your house to live with you.
  • Revised the weapon damage system. Now, you can deal damage within a predefined range. (For example, your sword might deal 28 damage on the first hit, 34 on the second, etc.
  • Completely overhauled the skill system. There are now 15 of them. (Previously, there were only 3.)
  • Revised merchants’ pricing. (Some items have become cheaper, some more expensive.)
  • Fixed many bugs and probably added some new ones.
  • And much more.

There is now early access for everyone who bought the game for $10. Early Access ends in 1-2 weeks and the game will be available for $5.

Friends!

Thank you all for your incredible support for the game! With each new update, we can feel it more and more. Thanks to everyone who participated in and helped with the development cycle for this release. A special thank you to everyone who’s been testing the game! Thank you all so much!

Sincerely, Team FEYADA.

I bought it when it was $10 for version 0.26, but now it is not allowing me to download it for the version 0.35. Why can't I get the access for it? Do I still have to pay for the next version every time an update happens or is this a system glitch/bug

10$ is the sale price itch has a really bad system to let you know if something is on sale. The 0.35 version is priced at 20$ right now. With the sale 10$ so yeah fun times and confusion. So all we can do is wait.

Futuramente vai ter tradução para o português??

I’m very confused with how the system on itch.io works. I see a lot of commenters having trouble with v0.35 when they prior bought v0.26 at a discount.

If I buy v0.35 now while it’s on sale, does that mean I don’t have access to any future updates that cost the regular $20 price?

One of the paragraphs says this:
"There is now early access for everyone who bought the game for $10. Early Access ends in 1-2 weeks and the game will be available for $5."

I also own the $5 version, and I will also be waiting for the early access to complete.

Yes, but what confuses me is that there are comments saying they bought 0.26 in the past for $10 and now they don’t have access to 0.35. There is actually a brand new comment saying the same thing in this devlog.

I believe you sir are correct. I could be wrong but I do think your logic on this one is correct. Itch.io has a terrible system that treat sales separated from regular purchases. It will also give you special download links for things that got sold in bundles or special sales.

So it confuses it self when you try to download something from the items page instead the download link and will at time be like you don't own this item do you wish to pay?

So unless you really want to play it right now I would wait for the early access to be over and then decide from there.

Better be safe and wait then. Thank you.

The combat is nice to play,  but the Boss Battle is basically gone wrong too much, you basically cant beat them if you dont have Good RNG especially against Arachne and Golems where they just screw you up with lots of Disables (Web Spider and Rockfall which stuns you for 2 turns). Need to buff the damage system on Swords and Bows slightly higher (3% is barely have any effect when your base damage is very low) and nerf the Boss disable duration into 1 turns instead of 2 turns, its not funny when you getting killed over and over when get hit by that skills, you just making this game barely playable.

Please rework it again or else nobody will buy this game if you making it way too hard or too easy, just balance the boss skills and buff the sword an bow damage skills slightly better.

another overhaul? am i going to have to start over again?

Of course not! We have a New Game+ mode that skips previous quests.
